The intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Art has sparked new questions about creativity, authorship, and the meaning of art in the digital age.
In this research project, I explore the role of AI in artistic creation from both practical and philosophical perspectives. My approach is based on two key methodologies:
1. Ethnography
I explore how AI tools are used in real-world artistic practices. By experimenting with different AI platforms, collaborating with artists, and gathering audience feedback through surveys, I aim to understand how AI is changing the creative process.
2. Phenomenology
At the same time, I use phenomenology to reflect on deeper questions about art its meaning, its emotional impact, and the evolving relationship between human creativity and machine-generated work.
My research focuses on three main areas:
-
Traditional Artists: Exploring human artistic intent, the aura of handmade works, and the legacy of influential artists like Kurt Schwitters and Salvador Dalí.
-
AI as a Creative Tool: Studying human-AI collaboration, and the impact of artists using AI, such as Obvious and Mario Klingemann.
-
AI as the Artist: Looking into the future of art, where AI itself is considered an independent creator with examples like Ai-Da, the robot artist.
Through these blog posts, I will share my research journey, insights, and reflections on how AI is reshaping art and creativity today.
